AALM – Raise Up Your Voice Against Racism

The Asian American Language Ministry Plan, the General Board of Church and Society and the New Federation of Asian American United Methodists have come to together to sponsor the “Raise Up Your Voice Against Racism” initiative in response to the brutal and avoidable murders of unarmed black individuals in the summer of 2020.

Webinar #3: A discussion on racism from the African American perspective.

Webinar #4: The “Raise Up Your Voice Against Racism” initiative published a statement in June 2020. Watch 12 young adults from the various Asian American United Methodist Caucuses read the statement.

Webinar #5: Like all stereotypes, the Model Minority Myth erases the differences among individuals and different ethnicities within the Asian community. This webinar explores the dangers of the Model Minority Myth.

We urge our Asian and Asian American communities to stand in solidarity with our African American brothers and sisters.

We will no longer remain silent and/or complicit.
