Describe the need affecting community
The Methodist Church in Ecuador is a small Church with a big passion for mission and church growth. The majority of the members live in rural areas and on the periphery of cities. Some of the congregations do not have sanctuary or mission facilities, but they are carrying out wonderful ministries. The focus of the mission work is evangelism, discipleship and services. All of which needs basic infrastructure in order to function. The churches do not have parsonages and the pastors has to travel between 1 to 4 hours to support their ministries. Of the 20 congregations only 9 have a sanctuary. We are working to support the efforts of local congregations to build sanctuaries and mission facilities.
How will this Advance project help to address the need?
Promoting joint work between the own efforts of the local congregation, VIMs and donations from churches and individuals.
